Head of Research and Insights is an individual contributor role owning the research and insights at Management Events. This role is perfect for an analytical team player who can blend quantitative and qualitative research methods to deliver clear, business-relevant and actionable insights in various formats. The ideal candidate understands technology trends, as our client base is top cxo’s in IT, Cyber and Digital from largest European enterprises and a wide range of technology solution providers and has a commercial mindset.
Management Events operates in 10+ markets, and we have approx. 220 employees. We achieved a revenue of 30+ million euros in 2019, after which the pandemic cut one third of it. Despite this, we have been a profitable company all along and we are growing back to the pre-pandemic level this year. In addition to established markets, we are looking for growth in three new markets we have recently opened.

What you’ll do:
- Implement a research strategy that aligns with Management Events growth goals, utilizing existing insights and enriching those, take ownership of the execution and work closely with counter parts from customer domain, product development and marketing teams, to ensure insights bring value and are leveraged effectively.
- Identify emerging technology trends and topics for in-depth research, develop quantitative and qualitative methods to execute research amongst tech executives across Europe, i.e. market analysis, trend forecasting, customer behavior studies, and industry benchmarking.
- Translate research findings into commercially viable reports, whitepapers, presentations, and thought leadership content. Apply diverse research methodologies and data analytics to generate actionable insights.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track the success of the research, both operational execution and commercial impact. Regularly review research process and outputs to ensure improvement and relevance.
You are successful when:
- Research covers tech decision makers from the European 1B€+ enterprises – engaging the audience with methodologies and collaboration with customer teams.
- Produced outputs (such as whitepapers and trend reports) show clear traction from the markets, via marketing and sales efforts, customer feedback confirming the insights are actionable and bring value to their decision-making.
- Projects are completed in the set timeline in tight collaboration with other stakeholders, deliverables support our customer work in all markets and sectors.
- Research methods / data utilization are continuously developed to maintain effectiveness and innovativeness, keeping the insights fresh.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in a research, insights, or data analytics role within the technology space.
- Expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience in translating research findings into business-relevant insights.
- Passion to be continuous learning and development, and working in an ambitious team
- Knowledge of advanced data analytics tools and techniques.
