What growth opportunities do you see in the Sales role?

I have seen a lot of growth opportunities at ME. When I started 12 years ago as the Sales Manager in the Netherlands, I remember wanting to join the company because of its sales expertise. The sales leadership and coaching were and still top tier, and I really liked our KPI setting and targets - for me it felt like a really nice sales organization, and I was very curious in finding out how much I could develop in the sales role.

Looking back, it really was a match made in the heaven, because 12 years later I am still here. After a while, I grew into a Sales Team Manager and after that - into a Country Sales Manager. I have also had the chance to be involved with different market areas like Denmark and DACH. Currently, I am the Commercial Director, so I am involved with both sales and customer success department. It is very interesting to see the cooperation between the functions and where we can create synergy and improve the cooperation.

Describe your typical working day

In the Customer Success Manager role, my workday and tasks are built around the customers, obviously. Either it's literally being in contact with our partners, having meetings to build the partnership, and making sure that we deliver what we have promised. As we work with people, every day is different. All partners have their own story and that makes our job very interesting - how to bring the best out of each partnership! The team is what makes the work fun! We celebrate our success together not only within CSM but in local office and internationally with our big ME family.
