Your Mission
We are looking for an Event Content & Speaker Engagement Director to join our dynamic team to curate thought-provoking experiences and content for the Aurora Live Business Network.
In this role you create cutting edge content to our physical and virtual events by finding the right speakers and case studies, most relevant for the target audience. You spar with them about the topics in reflection to what we know our audience is most keen on hearing, and you nurture the relationships by coaching and preparing them before the events and sharing feedback after.
Your success is measured in keeping projects on schedule with highest quality and innovative take and working as an active part of the business unit’s success. You have commercial take on everything you do, and you can work with set targets and common goals.
Your Key Focus Areas:
- Speaker Acquisition: Identify and secure top-tier speakers from IT, Digital, and Cybersecurity as keynote speakers and panelists for our German flagship events and selected virtual content - provided to our Aurora Live Business Network members.
- Cultivating Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with high-profile speakers, aligning their expertise with the most relevant topics for our audience to ensure sustained engagement and loyalty.
- Topic Generation & Scripting: Maintain a strong overview of current trends, hot topics, and industry pain points, with the ability to translate them into engaging session formats and thought-provoking discussions that captivate and deliver value to our audience.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Delivery & Marketing teams to align theme and speaker preferences with event objectives, following closely with Marketing how the content you build resonates with the target audience.
- Content & Speaker Collaboration: Support speakers in their preparation and creating speaker narratives ensuring relevance and market resonance.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in conference production, content curation (experience with German tech or industrial sectors is a strong plus), with a proven track record in speaker acquisition targeting high-level decision makers.
- Demonstrated success in securing senior speakers (VP/C-level) from leading corporations or public institutions.
- Strong understanding of the German enterprise and innovation landscape — including key players in software, industrial tech, mobility, and digital transformation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple content projects with precision and pace. It is a plus if you have previous leadership experience or at least the ambition to lead people in the future.
- A genuine interest in business, technology, innovation, and strategic leadership topics.
